Joyce-Collingwood Condos, Houses and Townhomes
There is construction building Joyce-Collingwood Condos at the Skytrain Sation. It is currently going through significant redevelopment. Formerly an industrial area, the area is being redeveloped as Collingwood Village, a denser community of high-rise condominiums. Close to the transit hub, there is a lot of steel and glass construction going on, all in preparation for more density. The neighbourhood is socially and culturally diverse overall, more so compared to the rest of the city. It’s a real mix of residents a great range of ages, many students and young people.
Joyce–Collingwood Skytrain station is an elevated station on the Expo Line. TransLink has completed an extensive renovation and expansion, including a new entrance with a new elevator, up-and-down escalators, expanded concourse areas, a secure bike parkade, and a retail space. They are trying to transform the area around the station into a vibrant area point into the community and working to increase housing, diversity and achieve a more coherent and connective neighbourhood.
